How Cute is Butch?

Meet Butch! This is Kristen's little black (Webkinz) lab! She has about 5 little Webkinz guys, 3 are dogs, (she loves dogs) 1 frog and one 'Lil Webkinz' which is a pig. She names them all of course.

I don't know what made me think of knitting a little doggy sweater for them, but I searched on Ravelry last week just to see if I could find anything. There were only 3 patterns for Webkinz, and only one of those was free. So, with some 'old' acrylic yarn, in Kristen's favorite color of orange, I cast on to see what the pattern would look like.

What do you think? Rather cute huh? I thought so, and the pattern takes all of 2 hours to knit! I changed the back slightly. You could either BO straight once you got the length you needed or decrease to 3 stitches at the back. I did neither but just decreased about 3 times, then it was long enough for Butch so I bound off.

Kristen's well pleased with it, now she wants sweaters for all her little guys! Mean while Jaden is sitting patiently waiting for me to pick her up again ;-)

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the pattern. My kids are forever asking me to knit things for their stuffed animals and it's a perfect way to use up those little bits of leftover yarns. That Webkinz black lab is cute, my hubby gave me the yellow lab (I pretend it's a golden retriever :) )

It's so cute. Thank goodness my girls are too old for these now - so I can get on with my knitting.

I've got to get my son some of these. He's been fussing at me for some time now, but I still am a little iffy on what they actually are! Love the sweater! :-)

Ok, that is absolutely adorable~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am jealous! You think I could do that? I don't know anything about patterns, but did learn 3 ways to knit last week. My daughter LOVES webkinz. Can you give me your daughters name and I'll let Olivia know. Does she play Club Penguin too? Let me know!
