As I said in my previous post, I have ordered some yarn from WEBS so I can continue with my gift knitting, and I'm waiting for it to be delivered.
I've also ordered some yarn from a fellow Raveler so I can knit a baby onesie for Kristen's 1st grade teacher (from last year) who we just found out is pregnant, and I'm waiting for that to be delivered (hoping it is today).
I've ordered a knitting book from Amazon, 'Sensual Knits' so I can start knitting something with Amanda's lovely lace yarn, and I'm waiting for that to be delivered.
In the meantime I'm finishing off the socks for my daughter with the yarn I ran out of last week! And to also keep me going, I picked up these in the book store today. . .

I've just had a quick browse through them and I can tell you I'm not disappointed, especially not with the Vogue mag - once again there are some lovely patterns that I'd love to one day get around to! I've been thinking of knitting some gloves lately, either for a gift or for myself, and I saw these in Vogue. . .
They are from the one and only 'Jared' of Brooklyn Tweed. I have never knit any of his patterns but love many of them I've seen on Ravelry. I'm wondering if these might be a little too complex for me, or if I should just bite the bullet so to speak and give them a go? What do you think?! I can't remember the last time I knit a pair of gloves - mittens are so much easier!

I think you should give the gloves a go I'm sure that you are very capable of knitting them.
TRY THE GLOVES! I live in Houston, I need to live vicariously through someone -as knitting gloves isn't terribly practical :-). You can do it!
If you're willing to wait a month, we could try them together! :o) I've been terribly frightened of knitting gloves, but saw this pattern on Jared's blog, and have been longing to give it a go. Vogue doesn't come out in Canada for a few weeks yet, though. Sigh. I hate waiting, too!
I say go for it. Jared's patterns are always very clear and well written. And if you get stuck, you can always turn them into mittens!
You could definetly do it! Then we'll all benefit from your knitterly tips! I saw the pictures of these on his blog today! They are amazing!
Go for it! These are lovely.
you can do it! i have total faith in you!
Go for it ! They ARE beautiful....I've only knit mittens...;)
Oh my! Those gloves look like a whole lot of hard work! Go on...cast on! :D
oh, i want those gloves! beautiful.
I say go for it! If you can do mittens, you can definitely do gloves:)
Jared is fantastic, isn't he? You should definitely knit those gloves!
Oh my, you sure are clever. I would be lost on a project like this, but they look beautiful and I'm sure you'll do a great job.
Love your background btw...looks awesome. Have a great day sweets. xx
I love those gloves and I'm going to make them. It's time to be fearless and just go for it!
Tried to figure out what lace project you are doing - no luck! I'm sure it won't take as long as you think whatever you choose!
