I LOVE knitting with this yarn, so much so that I just can't bear to pick up Soleil :-( I really should, I mean she's just about finished. Only have a little part of the neck to do then the two front parts.
But as I've mentioned before, if I'm not enjoying knitting something then I won't knit it! I'll get to it eventually, I know I will. But in the meantime I'll knit what makes me happy. . . . and that would be Debbie Bliss Cathay.

Wow, that must be some crazy good yarn if you're enjoying ribbing that much. It looks gorgeous!
You're off to a beautiful start! I love your knitting philosophy, too:)
Wise women! I know your project is just hibernating but I think I'm going to follow your lead and frog a project that I'm not enjoying because the yarn looks frugly. This sweater is going to be just lovely. I looked at that pattern booklet and it has several nice designs. I sometimes find that pattern booklets don't inspire me until I see them in person or the patterns being knit and then it clicks. I love the cable detailing on this sweater, for example.
Yummy yarn makes all the difference, doesn't it? I'm sure Soleil doesn't mind :)
Looks great! I totally agree - knit what you feel like working on, and it will go much more quickly! You'll pick the other project up later when you feel like it.
Oh I love that cable up the front edge - neat, neat, neat!
It's knitting up so beautifully - I have used Cathay & it's gorgeous. Great choice of yarn & pattern.
Hey, as long as your knitting and enjoying it, go for it! It's looking great!
Oh I miss Debbie Bliss yarns! What a beautiful job you are doing on this sweater. Such a great color for the upcoming warmer months, too.
You'll get back to Soleil when the time is right. Enjoy what you are working on now.
I have the same book and that is one pattern that I really liked too. Yours looks so nice in that color too.
that looks like a fun knit--just enough pattern to keep you awake, but simple enough to be relaxing.
I tlooks wonderful. I love that cable up the side and can't wait to see the finished product
It looks so comfy! I love the color!
Heey!! I wish I could get more of the "project monogamy bug"!! That is a good thing!! Woodland is coming along really nicely!! Can't wait to see her all together!
