where am I?

Knitting has taken a back seat since my last post, hence the reason there's been no new posts from me! There's no doubt about it, I've lost my knitting mojo and I'm not sure when I'll get it back. I know the cause of it too - two things really... 1) the weather has been lovely here in Austin, spring has definitely sprung and I've been outside a bit starting to plant flowers in the beds and lay down new mulch... 2) I picked up the book 'Twilight' that I borrowed from my neighbor! and yes, like most others who have read it, I can't put it down. Well actually I can put this one down because I've already finished it. I started book 2 earlier this week! As well as reading that book I'm reading 'Three Cups of Tea' for our April bookclub meeting.

So, lots of reading and lots of outdoor time has squelched the urge to pick up the needles. I am so close to finishing my Woodland cardigan too, but I just don't get the time to pick it up. I have a couple of baby knits to do this month so I might try to get them started and hopefully they won't take long to finish either as they're so small.

Until I have something to show you then, I will just continue to visit your blogs and see what you're knitting ;-)

I finally finished knitting Libby. I just need to do the finishing and then fingers crossed see if it all worked out.

Don't you just absolutely love the Twilight series. I was the same. I would put in a load of laundry and read a few pages. I'd unload the dishwasher and then read a bit more.

Enjoy! Hope the mojo is just on vacation.

Spring and a good book? I don't blame you from being distracted. So fun.

The mojo will be back - I'm not exactly totally focused on mine at the moment either. We're going to Northumberland for Easter so hoping to crack on with it whilst away! :)

Li'l sis without her mojo, Whatever will she do
No knitting on her needles
Could she be feeling blue

But never fear sister dear
Your mojo must be found
For very soon, I'm sure you know
Babies will abound

And then your knitting mojo
I'm sure you will find
Your needles at the ready
The wool you'll need to wind

If it's not on baby knitting
That will get you on the go
Then knit a pair of woolly gloves
For your little lost mojo

:o) xxx

Enjoy the weather on your knitting break. The good thing, usually when the mojo comes back it comes back in full force!

Well the weather is there to be enjoyed as well. Knitting can wait a while, perhaps some lighter weight yarns might tempt you back again. I loved the Twilight books too. Such romance.

Spending time outdoors is just as nice as knitting! I've been doing that a lot too.

Yoo hoo! Come in Denise - where are you hiding? :)

The twilight books are fab to read so I can see why you might not be knitting as much. It takes far too much effort to knit and read
