You can see a picture of it here if you'd like -- http://myfireflycottage.blogspot.com/2008/12/debbie-bliss-beret.html

Mine is not quite as slouchy as the picture in the magazine either, but I think I have kind of a big head (not something a girl likes to admit ;-(!). I've managed to make it a little more slouchy with a bit of gentle pulling and stretching. I think it turned out to be pointier than I'd have liked as well. I'm thinking about using my clothes steamer to finesse it a little more, so I'll let you know how that works out. Oh, and the dinner plate idea sounds interesting -- but you go first ;-), okay?
GeorgannaGigihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14709314864693421679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6627641466310495633.post-58776291792054402412008-12-10T09:08:00.000-08:002008-12-10T09:08:00.000-08:00sorry, i have no advice on the blocking. but that...sorry, i have no advice on the blocking. but that dinner plate trick sounds interesting!

i knit two things at a time. one that can easily be knit while talking is ALWAYS on the needles.
it works great!a friend to knit withhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17542324778581589386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6627641466310495633.post-90608163852041295062008-12-10T05:28:00.000-08:002008-12-10T05:28:00.000-08:00that is a really gorgeous hat!that is a really gorgeous hat!Estherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09265828032248455719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6627641466310495633.post-15319543103941892792008-12-09T18:35:00.000-08:002008-12-09T18:35:00.000-08:00Seriously? She made a hat that looked like a beanie didn't like it as a beanie so she soaked it and blocked it over a dinner plate. Make sure your ribbing isn't getting stretched but the rest of it, then when its dry take it off and you should have more of a slouchy beret!!!
Let me know how it goes!
Good luck!!CelticCastOnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05965972142781253239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6627641466310495633.post-85149049570467422902008-12-09T15:23:00.000-08:002008-12-09T15:23:00.000-08:00I'm not sure what to suggest... it looks soo very ...I'm not sure what to suggest... it looks soo very beautiful already.Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16281464740064690657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6627641466310495633.post-85872426544524696642008-12-09T14:43:00.000-08:002008-12-09T14:43:00.000-08:00I hope you are feeling better!
